TREE OF LIFE

The Tree of Life is a beautiful focal point in the Bernard A. Rosch Palliative Care suite at UPMC Altoona. Family members and friends can purchase leaves or stones to add to the display as a permanent memorial for a loved one.

The Tree of Life display is located in the Bernard A. Rosch Palliative Care suite’s living room area on UPMC Altoona’s 14th floor. There are three hand-sculpted brass wall reliefs called “Trees of Life.” Those wishing to leave a permanent memorial to a loved one may do so by making a donation to the Bernard A. Rosch Palliative Care suite. Memorials will be engraved on a leaf or stone and added to the Tree of Life display.

Sea of
TINY BUBBLES

Welcome your new baby into the world with a bubble in our Sea of Tiny Bubbles, a recognition display in our Maternity Department to honor babies who are born at UPMC Altoona.

The Sea of Tiny Bubbles is a fun and inviting way to celebrate the birth of a child at UPMC Altoona. Bubbles with the child’s name are displayed for a year and then returned to the family as a keepsake. Donations from the Sea of Tiny Bubbles will support the children born on UPMC Altoona’s ninth  floor Labor and Delivery Unit.
