Our Annual Golf Classic is one of the Foundation’s signature fundraising events. Rain or shine, our golfers enjoy a fun and relaxing day of great food, contests, raffles, tee prizes for every golfer, and much more. Funds raised benefit patient care at UPMC Altoona.

Cast & Blast Tournament


UPMC Altoona Foundation looks forward to our
next Cast & Blast Tournament in 2025.

Cast & Blast is held at HomeWaters in Spruce Creek. It features fly fishing on the Little Juniata River combined with a sporting clay shoot. Meals and snacks for all guest participants are provided. In addition to team tournament and skill prizes, individual prizes are awarded for biggest fish and most broken targets. Participants enjoy a pig roast dinner at the end of the event.

Cancer Survivors Appreciation Picnic

The UPMC Cancer Survivor Picnic was held on Saturday, September 9, 2023. We had approximately 1,500 attendees who came and enjoyed lunch, face painting and bingo at the park. We look forward to hosting the event in 2024.

Over 1,500 cancer survivors, their family members, and caregivers enjoyed a wonderful afternoon.

Winter Splendor

Winter Splendor 2024 was very successful, with funds raising going to the EMPATH Unit, a new area within the Emergency Department at UPMC Altoona, designed to serve patients with behavioral health needs.
