UPMC Altoona Foundation would like to thank you for your years of loyal sponsorship of the UPMC Altoona’s Annual Golf Tournament. The good news is we are going to be able to hold this year’s event as scheduled on June 22 at Scotch Valley Country Club.
There will be some accommodations to meet the social distancing requirements. This year, we will field two flights of golfers with each player riding in his or her individual golf cart. With the availability of 72 carts at Scotch Valley, we will unfortunately be limited to the first 144 golfers who register for the tournament. Out of a deep sense of gratitude and in recognition of the significant economic impact of the pandemic, the UPMC Altoona golf committee has decided to lower this year’s sponsorship fees.
Thankfully, our tournament sponsor UPMC and UPMC Health Plan continues to support us at the $10,000 level.
The sponsorships for this year are:
Two foursomes, 4 tee signs at the PLATINUM level is $2500; last year, it was $5,000.
One foursome, 3 tee signs at the GOLD level is $1500, was $3,000.
One foursome, 2 tee signs at the SILVER level is $1250, was $2500.
One foursome, 1 tee sign at the BRONZE level is $1000, was $1500.
We are most hopeful these reduced sponsorship levels will encourage you to participate with us this year despite these challenging times.
We will be doing take away meals, dispensing with the buffet meal in the dining room due to the ban on large gatherings. Similarly, we will be forgoing the contests on the course and the usual tee prize to streamline the event.
The focus will be on a great day of golf with the usual snacks, Meadows Frozen Custard treats, hotdogs and adult and soft beverages out on the course.
